Printable Endometriosis Journal

Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining inside the uterus (called the endometrium) grows outside of it. This misplaced tissue can show up in places like the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or even around the bladder and intestines.

Every month, just like the regular uterine lining, this tissue builds up, breaks down, and tries to shed. The problem is, because it’s not inside the uterus, it has nowhere to go, which can lead to pain, inflammation, and scar tissue (adhesions).
